He’s one of three children born to Susan and Reuben Troyer. Verne Troyer was just a baby when he was identified as having dwarfism. Rather than be deterred by his smaller height, Troyer used it to his advantage during his school years. “There were plenty of times I Had hide in my own locker and jump out as well as surprise people,” he afterwards told People magazine.
After graduating from high school in 1987, Troyer eventually learned acting. He got his first movie occupation in 1993, employed as a stunt double to get an infant in Baby’s Day Out (1994), starring Joe Pantoliano, Lara Flynn Boyle and Joe Mantegna. Troyer continued to do more stunt work during the the next couple of years, regularly appearing in costume as creatures.
Crowds adored his character, Mini Me, the bad sidekick to the fiendish criminal mastermind Dr. Evil. (Mike Myers plays several characters in the movie, for example, name character and Dr. Evil.) MiniMe proved to be so popular that dolls were made with Troyer’s likeness—a true indication of pop culture status.
He also appeared as Griphook the Goblin in the smash success Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001).
In 2002, Troyer reprised his role as Mini Me for Austin Powers in Goldmember, the next episode of the most popular spy evidence show. Also, the performer became a reality show persona, enabling cameras to picture him living in a home with other celebs on The Surreal Life.
While he continued to work during the the next couple of years, Troyer was not able to recapture his earlier success on the big screen. Troyer went to work on Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), which became a distressed job after star Heath Ledger expired before filming was finished. Other performers were brought into complete the movie, but the ending result got less-than-stellar reviews and did little in the box office.
The exact same year, Troyer appeared to the British reality opposition Celebrity Big Brother alongside rapper Coolio and LaToya Jackson. Since that time, he’s appeared on different TV programs, including Star House Hunting in the year 2012.
Troyer was briefly married to Genevieve Gallen in 2004; he’d their marriage annulled after of a month. In 2008, Troyer was involved with a legal fight above a video of him being intimate with his former girlfriend, Ranae Shrider. The exact same year, he reached an out-of-court settlement with all the mature video business that attempted to sell the cassette.
