Produced in Whittier, California, on May 5, 1973, Kristina Louise Yothers afterwards performed beneath the name Tina Yothers. Like her brothers, Jeff, Randy and Cory, Tina started acting in commercials at a young age (3), appearing in places for McDonald’s, Doritos and Bell Telephone, amongst others. Her dad, Robert Yothers, was a television producer.
After her early commercial work, Yothers started to audition for movies.
Nineteen eighty two also brought a career-defining opportunity for Yothers, who had been cast as the character Jennifer Keaton in a fresh NBC situation comedy called Family Ties.
After Family Ties finished, Yothers took a nine-year sabbatical from playing. In this period, her fascination with music led her to form the group Jaded together with her brother Cory. Tina also dabbled in writing, printing the novel Being Your Best: Tina Yothers’ Guide for Girls, where she shared her career experiences and suggestions for achievement for girls of ages.
In 2004, Yothers returned to playing having a stage character impersonating pornographic film star Linda Lovelace in the production of Lovelace the Musical. She’s since appeared in a number of reality-TV shows, including Celebrity Fit Club, Star Wife Swap, What Never To Wear and Reno 911!.
Yothers wed electrician Robert Kaiser in August 2002. They got two kids together, a daughter, Lillian Grace (produced in 2005), as well as a son, Robert Jake (produced in 2007). Her hobbies include swimming and playing ice hockey.
