Produced in 1961 in San Diego, California, Tawny Kitaen dropped out of high school and began modeling as a teen. In the mid-1980s, she made appearances in movies, and began dating Whitesnake rocker David Coverdale. After marrying and divorcing Coverdale, she acted on television shows, as well as in 2006, Kitaen was back in the limelight on reality show The Surreal Life. Kitaen made public her battle with drugs on Celebrity Rehab.
She had a difficult time at school due to her dyslexia, and she eventually dropped from Mission Bay High School in San Diego. To support herself, Kitaen got some modeling work and a few small acting parts.
Kitaen’s big break came in 1984 with all the movie Bachelor Party. She starred opposite Tom Hanks as his bride to be in this raunchy humor. In 2002, Kitaen made headlines to get a national dispute between her and her husband. She was detained on two charges of misdemeanor spousal abuse after she allegedly physically attacked Finley during an argument. Finley filed for divorce three days following the event. That September, Kitaen achieved a resolution in the event. The charges against her were dropped after she finished a year of counselling.
Kitaen attempted to resurrect her career by appearing on a reality television show in 2006. The show filmed a number of once-renowned stars living together under one roof. The exact same year, Kitaen was arrested for cocaine possession.
The next year, Kitaen started her own legal fight. She filed suit against a former boyfriend, asserting that he tricked her out of $3 million of her assets. The pair eventually gotten to a resolution in 2009.
Taking her private battles public, Kitaen again delved to the world of reality television in 2008, appearing in the next season of Celebrity Rehab having a group that comprised celebrities Gary Busey and Jeff Conaway. She discussed that she had a drug problem on the show, and finished a televised treatment system. Yet Kitaen had trouble keeping her sobriety.
Despite her previous problems, Kitaen proceeds to continue a vocation in the entertainment industry. Among her latest projects was a guest appearance on the crime drama CSI.
