Not long after, he filed with USA Boxing, an amateur boxing organization, started working odd jobs and apparently became intensely spiritual. In 2009, Tamerlan was detained by policemen in the Cambridge Police Deparment for allegedly attacking his girlfriend. That evening, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus police officer, Sean Collier, was fatally shot, as well as the Tsarnaev brothers were named defendants in the event. According to his parents, Tamerlan subsequently moved to Kazakhstan along with his two sisters, staying with the aunt and uncle there, while his parents and son Dzhokhar immigrated to America.

In the autumn of 2006, Tamerlan started attending Massachusetts’ Bunker Hill Community College. The next year, Tamerlan wed a girl named Katherine Russell in Cambridge. Not long after, Russell gave birth to an infant girl, based on an attorney representing Russell’s family.
Based on a member of the family, Tamerlan Tsarnaev started a routine daily prayer rite in 2011. The next year, he acquired a quick visit to Russia, where he apparently spent a lot of time together with his dad, Anzor Tsarnaev, and traveled to Makhachkala. He returned to America in July 2012, as well as the subsequent month, created a YouTube station that linked to various videos, two of which were contained under a class entitled “Terrorists.”

Following a police pursuit in the first hours of April 19, 2013, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was shot and killed by policemen in the scene. He was 26 years old. The brothers had allegedly carjacked a vehicle and left it in Watertown, Massachusetts, where a gunflght with authorities ensued. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was caught later that day, after allegedly hiding in a boat in the yard of a private property in Watertown.
