Roger Baldwin Biography




Produced on January 21, 1884, in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Roger Baldwin was taught at Harvard University. He was a freethinker who afterwards worked as a teacher, social worker and union organizer. Baldwin was a conscientious objector during WWI and co-created the American Civil Liberties Union in 1920, helming the well known organization for decades. He expired on August 26, 1981.
