Produced in Iowa in 1982, vocalist Nate Ruess started performing in high school. A couple of years after, they released the record Interventions Lullabies. Ruess put out another record together with the Format, Dog Problems, in 2006. Following the band split up in 2008, he began a brand new group called Fun. Fun.’s first record, Aim and Ignite, came out in 2009. A couple of years after, they released Some Nighttime (2011), which featured two of 2012’s hottest singles: “We’re Young” and “Some Nights.”
Produced on February 26, 1982, in Iowa City, Iowa, Nathaniel Joseph Ruess is now a top pop singer with his group Fun.
Ruess subsequently moved to New York, where he soon formed a fresh group.
In 2008, Ruess joined forces with Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff to begin the group Fun. The group put out its first record, Purpose and Ignite, the subsequent year. But it was their second attempt, Some Nighttime (2011), that set them about the graphs. The tune “We’re Young” received an enormous boost when it had been featured on an episode of the television show Glee.
“We’re Young” was likewise found in a car advertisement that ran during the 2012 Super Bowl, which helped send the single additional up the graphs. Fun. also had great success with all the record’s title track. These two singles were top-selling tunes in the year 2012.
He had been experiencing “some wild and annoying vocal problems” because the preceding December, he described on the group’s web site. There is no “irreversible damage” done, however he needed to take a while off to recuperate.
