Ian Ziering appeared in his first national TV commercial when he was 12 years old, shortly after making appearances on soap operas. In 1990, Ziering got the part that will alter his life: that of Steve Sanders to the teen drama Beverly Hills 90210. The show brought immediate recognition to the cast, and Ziering was unexpectedly a heartthrob. In 1997, Ziering wed Playboy Playmate Nikki Schieler, but the pair divorced five years after.
