Halliwell step down in 1998 to pursue her solo career, beginning with her single, “Look At Me,” which sold more than ONE million copies world-wide. Since her run with all the Spice Girls, Halliwell has authored a number of children’s books and began a swim. Also, she’s been has the most No. 1 singles of any female musician in U.K. history.
She was raised by dad Laurence Francis Halliwell, of English and Swedish ancestry, and half-Spanish mom Ana Maria, from Huesca. Halliwell speaks fluent Spanish and English. She attened the Watford Grammar School for Girls, and required her A-Levels in the Camden School for Girls. In school, she studied English literature and finance.
After school, Halliwell worked odd jobs, including as a topless model, a cage dancer in a nightclub in Majorca as well as a presenter on the Turkish TV show Let’s Make a Deal.
