Produced on September 26, 1981, in Jersey City, New Jersey, vocalist and actress Christina Milian moved to La, California, at age 13 to pursue an acting career. She collaborated with musicians Ja Rule and Jennifer Lopez in the early 2000s and eventually had success with her own R&B records. Milian has also appeared in a number of films, and competed on Season 17 of Dancing with the Stars.
She grew up in Waldorf, Maryland, and started appearing in commercials in a young age. Her parents divorced soon afterwards.
Although Milian moved to California in hopes of appearing on the big screen, her first success came over the airwaves. The exact same year, she also released her self-titled debut record, which became a hit abroad but met with reasonable success in the home.
Milian’s first hit in America came in 2004 together with the launch of her second record, It’s About Time. In 2006, she released her third album, So Amazin’.
Milian also garnered a constant flow of performing characters, starring in the 2007 TV movie Snowglobe alongside Lorraine Bracco. In 2013, Milian appeared as among the contestants on Dancing with the Stars.
In 2010, Milian gave birth to an infant girl, Violet Madison Nash. The dad was Grammy Award winning music producer The Dream, who’d wed Milian about half a year earlier. But, the couple break up just several months afterwards after pictures were published of The Dream with a different girl.
