William Pullman Biography:

Produced in Hornell, Ny, on December 17, 1953, Bill Pullman pursued stage work before making his big screen debut in Ruthless People. Other comedies followed like Spaceballs and Clerks prior to the celebrity hit it big with characters in Sleepless in Seattle and While You Were Sleeping, subsequently playing the U.S. president in the international blockbuster Independence Day. He afterwards returned to some presidential character in situation comedy 1600 Penn.

Celebrity Bill Pullman was born William James Pullman on December 17, 1953, in Hornell, Ny. At one point he determined that he’d continue a building profession, registering in the technology-oriented State University of New York at Delhi. Yet he opted instead to get a life as a thespian after being inspired with a play club.

Pullman was employed as a professor at Montana State University before relocating and doing stage work with the East Coast. He finally moved to Los Angeles and started to appear in movie, making his big screen debut as a wrongdoer in the comedy Ruthless People (1986), with Bette Midler and Danny DeVito.

Within the next decades, Pullman went to set up a prolific, loaded picture career with supporting and lead characters crossing many genres. He rounded out the decade with characters in The Accidental Tourist (1988) and Cold Feet (1989).

(The latter picture afterwards became an award winning Broadway show.)

In the newest millennium, Pullman continued blending kind with characters in the arthouse comedy Igby Goes Down (2002), the horror film The Curse (2004) as well as the drama Phoebe in Wonderland (2009). He’s also discovered himself occasionally being compared and confounded with fellow actor Bill Paxton.

Having already been featured on The Tracey Ullman Show, Pullman additionally developed his TV curriculum vitae using the 2005 miniseries Revelations. Subsequently in 2012, Pullman returned to playing a U.S. president—this time in the NBC situation comedy 1600 Penn, co-created by Josh Gad.

Pullman has continued his stage work with characters in the Broadway productions Oleanna, a 2009 play on sexual harassment helmed by David Mamet, and The Other Place (2013). A playwright too, Pullman wed dancer Tamara Hurwitz in 1987, using the couple having three kids.
