Produced on July 15, 1950, in Athens, Greece, Arianna Huffington went to study economics in the University of Cambridge, eventually going to America. She was a conservative commentator before changing to liberal politics and began the Web site The Huffington Post in 2005. The website, bought by AOL in 2011, has gone to develop into a popular and strong on-line news platform. Huffington is in addition the composer of over a dozen publications on subjects including feminism to corporate America to politics.
She subsequently set up shop in London and pursued writing. In 1974, with Random House, she released her first novel, The Female Woman, which looks at and critiques specific styles in women’s liberation movements. She followed that using the political-oriented work After Reason in 1980.
Stassinopoulus moved to America in 1980 after a procrastinated romance novel in London with writer Bernard Levin. The next year, she released an acclaimed biography of among the planet ‘s opera greats, Maria Callas: The Woman Behind the Legend. In 1983, she could plumb her ethnic origins using the work The Gods of Greece, which looked in the significance of historical myths, and from the conclusion of the decade she’d also released a biography of Picasso.
In 1986, Stassinopoulis wed Michael Huffington, a secretary inside the U.S. Department of Defense, and the couple had two kids.
