Salvatore Philip Bono Biography:

Produced in Detriot, Michigan, in 1935, Sonny Bono began his career as a vocalist in the mid-1960s with then-girlfriend Cher. Bono’s singing career waned, however he stepped back to the public eye when he became mayor of Palm Springs, California in 1988. His family moved to Los Angeles when he was around seven years of age.

Bono attended Inglewood High School, however he dropped out. After leaving school, he took on several occupations while attempting to allow it to be as a songwriter. He was employed as a server, a truck driver as well as a construction worker before making it in the music business.
