Matt Damon’s acting career took off after starring in and writing Good Will Hunting with pal Ben Affleck. The pair won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 1997 for that movie. Damon has since played in a wide variety of films, for instance, most popular Ocean’s Eleven show as well as the Jason Bourne trilogy.
His dad, Kent, was a stockbroker, realtor and tax preparer. His mom, Nancy, was an early childhood education professor at Lesley University. Matt has one brother, Kyle, who’s three years his senior. His parents divorced when Matt was two.
At 10, Matt met a man from two blocks down the road: Ben Affleck. The pair did everything together. In 2007, Damon was named the “hottest man alive” by People magazine.
