He found his way onto the stage within a doo wop group singing at Universal Studios. This resulted in an audition for the Backstreet Boys, but Kirkpatrick simply missed the cut. Kirkpatrick expanded an offer to Joey Fatone, a fellow Universal Studio performer, to join his upstart group, along with Justin Timberlake, whom he had met on the area audition circuit. Timberlake was linked with JC Chasez from the Mickey Mouse Club and encouraged him to join the group also. Last came Lance Bass, who had been urged by Timberlake’s vocal coach.

One year after came the five-time platinum record Celebrity, before Kirkpatrick and his bandmates break for solo endeavors.

Plus, he was on VH1’s Mission Man Band, a show after the creation of an organization from already recognized ability. Now Kirkpatrick has settled into his new group, Nigels 11. No matter fame and fortune, Kirkpatrick hasn’t forgotten how his family fought in his youth. This prompted him to begin the Chris Kirkpatrick Foundation to aid underprivileged kids.
